The Journey

For those of you following along, here is our tentative, basic itinerary. We’ll fill in the details as we discover them:

LIMERICK AREA

April 2: Fly out and arrive at Shannon International Airport in Limerick.

April 3 & 4: Hang out in the Limerick area and play a friendly against CBS Limerick, the reigning Irish national champs. On April 8, CBS Limerick has an all-Ireland final to play. It can’t get any better than that. Here’s a link to Jury’s Inn Limerick where we’re staying.

April 5: The lads take on Crescent Comprehensive in their second friendly. Then, who knows? Bill White and Joe are making this up as we go. :)

April 6: The boys started the day at 10:30 am mass at St. John’s Cathedral, then had a bite to eat at Pike Rovers F.C. clubhouse. Later in the day, the group saw their first hurling match in which Cork topped Limerick 12-8.

DUBLIN AREA

April 7: We hit the road and travel to Dublin for a visit to Trinity College. Then, an afternoon match at Clongowes Wood College.

April 8: A day out in Dublin that includes a walking tour of the city center. Then, it’s back on the bus for Galway on Ireland’s west coast.

GALWAY AREA

April 9: Enjoy Ireland’s fastest growing city and cultural heart. Here’s a link to Jury’s Inn Galway where we’re staying.

April 9: Joey’s Blue and White Army are back in action in their 4th match of the tour against St. Mary’s.

April 10: Back in Limerick and off to view the Rings of Kerry and other parts of southwestern Ireland. This day trip might include a visit to the Blarney Stone.
